Morning all.. I’ve got to repair both foot wells,o/s door pillar and top vent panel..
I’m also doing a chassis change, question is do I repair before I remove from old chassis, or do once removed..??
Thanks in advance

I agree. Strip it all off and repair bulkhead when it off. Unfettered access for clamping and welding, treating and painting afterwards. If you’re doing a fully chassis swap I’d get my bulkhead galvanised once I’d repaired it.

I repaired/replaced my footwells when changing the chassis, easy when body off

I would lift body off complete and then repair footwells etc without dismantling the body, it's easy to work on with the body lifted and you won't have to line everything up again, lift landy up a couple of feet, support body then drop chassis down and wheel it out.

Repair the bulkhead off the motor. As said easier to weld/grid/cut
Also You may have to do the top of the bulkhead where the windscreen fits onto

Measure the bulkhead width gap and then bolt a plate or bar across at that width. This will keep it at the correct distance for refitting after welding.
Is that what was worrying you.
