Bulkhead is in. Was pretty straight forward. Didn't need to cut the bulkhead near the tunnel as my tunnel fit straight to it.... Got the loom swapped over and I know I could have sold the td5 dash loom but I enjoyed cutting it up too much.... Just need to do the dash mod for the gauges and warning lamps. I need to order the parts and crack on. Headgasket is also done for my sins...

ill pop some up tomorrow of the horrible mess lol.....

Just been sat sorting the wires out on the td5 dash gauges...

everywhere i read says the main beam is blue/white in pin 1 for the main beam but the colour i have here is blue/pink..

Anyone know how i can test each cable that goes into the dash indication lights?

Do i put power to the indicator panel and earth it, then add power to each cable to see which lights up?

If the polarity says its live+ i add power to make it power up and if the polarity is earth - i earth it to light up?... can any1 confirm this please.

Still waiting for the paint shop to paint mine
but heres a picture of it ready to be painted

How is it you're doing it then?

You're using your 1989 loom with the td5 dash?

If so, you should be able to work out which cable did what on the old one, as the connector to lights is just metal running between the two (i think) - on the back of the 1989 dash.

If you're doingit the other way, you would need to grab a td5 wiring diagram and then plug the wing looms into the main loom (presuming thats right, i'm 99% sure my td5 bulkhead loom has connectors at either end to plug into the wings...)

I'm using the 1989 loom. I've done the retroanaconda loom mod to the td5 clocks. Just a little more to do. I believe the green cable that feeds the temp and fuel gauge are the ignition switched 5 amp cables I just need to find a permanent 10v which I think may be the big red that comes in with the greens
