Hi I'm new so please be patient?
I have a 1990 200tdi 90 and I would like to fit disc brakes to the rear, would 2001 TD5 axles fit straight on ? What spline are they? And what mods would I need to do?

I have tried the search feature but can't find anything to do with TD5 axles

24 spline as all are from 300 tdi onwards , will fit straight on but you will need the wider radius arms from the later vehicle or washers to make up the difference

does he not need a different prop aswell

Do I need a new prop? Will the radius arms from the TD 5 fit?

Are we still talking on the rear? Radius arms I thought were front and trailing arms the rear? When I fitted a 24 spline rear axle I re-used the trailing arms from my old 10 spline axle as they were polybushed. I thought it was only the radius arms that differed in width but as ever I know I'm not always correct (my wife has got a signed document)

no new prop ,td5 arms are pefect

you are correct trailing arms dont differ in width ,like the front
