anyone know if td5 axels will go on to a 1989 lr 90??

cant see why not
as long as you dont want to start swapping bits between the new and old axles

no, nothing like that. just wondered if abs is an issue? and all the connection points are the same?? chrs

well shirley if it aint connected it wont matter, prop ends are the same wheel studs same
i have 300tdi (1994) axles in my 87 90 no problems

how about these fabled sealed hubs they come with??? need to replace the whole hub, not just the bearings in em??? this true?? or have i been misled??

no think thats td5 discos. td5 defenders have sealed bearings as opposed to older tapered ones but dont think you have to get a whole hub.

that only applies to the abs axles i think you will find , my td5 90 has the same type as my 1995 axles (pretty certain of that anyway)
