Hi Neilly Just checked on Landyzone but no one seems to to be trying to put together a group buy at the moment. Excuse the ignorance but what is a renovo card??? On nanocom-diagnostics.com they are quoting £252.63 inc VAT they don't mention anything about exchange rates just what currency you want to pay in. Did you use this site or BBS site when you bought yours? I gather from the BBS site that the company offices are in Cyprus.
By the way the spanner and backing spanner you recommended for my husband in my thread on spanners for viscous coupling on cooling fan arrived from Flatdog within a couple of days from ordering. Husband says they worked very well he just eased the locating holes slightly on the backing spanner so we much appreciate your advice:):)

Joy,try starting your own group buy thread,as there are people joining lz every day,so there could be bods who are in the same position as yourself, worth a try at least, good luck with the nanocom, great bit of kit.:)

Joy,

Nanocom ships from Cyprus, mine took about 3 days on DHL at Christmas.

The exchange rate question means you may be cheaper to pay in an alternative currency. They'll quote £abc or €xyz, it might be cheaper to buy in Euros depending on your card exchange rate (such as Renovo). Visa cards are often highly competitive anyway.

You can buy without VAT if you know anyone with a VAT number. I bought mine over my company without VAT

I did the same, just need to supply full and verifiable VAT registration details pre purchase to receive a Nett invoice.

For anyone who doesn't realise EU VAT rules, you can simply pay the Nett figure rather than pay the VAT and reclaim it. It's all dealt with on the VAT return.

Hello Joy,

At the time I purchased mine, it actually worked out cheaper to buy in Euros, using the renovo card allowed me to exchange from £ to Euros and save money on the exchange rates..

But, looking at the cost at the moment, and exchange rates today. It actually appears cheaper to pay in Good old British Pounds.

I purchased mine using a group buy discount, I think it was Huff huff who arranged it. basically it was purchased by Myself directly from BBS using a discount code, there just had to be a guaranteed qty purchased to get the group buy, it was very easy to do.

Glad the spanners worked for you.

Cheers

Hi All
Don't know how to thank you all for your advice:D I have ordered the nanocom now and taking into account what Neilly said about the current exchange rate used GBP and paid with Paypal because of the security it offers. Sorry Leomas but I wanted to get the nanocom to use quite quickly so wouldn't have time to investigate setting up a group buy. Plus I have got my Mum in hospital at the moment so lots of demand on time. Hope you manage to buy yours. The one I ordered today cost £288.04 in total with the VAT and Shipping costs being the biggest add-on costs. Hopefully it will be well worth it in long term garage bill savings. I am so glad I found this Forum it is really great:):):)

Your husband will love it! He'll be like a kid in a sweet shop.

Make sure he saves a backup to SD card before changing any parameters or at minimum note in detail any changes he makes so anything can be reversed. No nasty surprises that way.

You won't regret it, they're a fantastic tool/gizmo and it can easily pay for itself.

Hi All Husband has read your posts and much appreciates your contributions. He can't wait to get started - I think our EKA is a prime candidate it is 'orrible:D one of the numbers is 15!!!!!!!
One of our keys is a 75 - we know too much about being locked out by the security system being paranoid and having to use the EKA to get in, and having an alarm go off at the wrong time:(:( Husband is really going to have fun he says:rolleyes:
