I had a service recently and had the [Td5 Alive] EGR kit installed at the same time.

Ever since I got it back the car has stalled, pretty much every other day.
The latest was yesterday when it happened twice soon after setting off.

Anyone come across this?
Could it be to do with the engine management system and the change in air flow?
It only seems to happen when teh engine is cold.

Many thanks,
Will

shouldn't do that....mine ran better after removing the lump. could be one of yer sensors is fouled up. check that they blanked off the vac pipe that used to go to the EGR as well, and that the electronic actuator valve has been disconnected.

When I did mine with a td5 Alive kit, I found that thre was 2 vacum pies and 2 acctuators that needed disconecting. I beleive land rover made a few changes to the engines in 2001. Upto mid 2001 had a different EGR setup than the later 2001 engines mine being the later one
hope this helps

'av you checked the ECU loom for oil ingress?

I have, and it's coated in oil.
My mechanic has now the part in stock, I just need to get to him to have it replaced.
Would this solve my problem?
Thanks,
Will

Ps. In the eight weeks I've had it I've noticed a small patch of oil in the passenger side footwell, about the dia. of an old one half of one pence coin, woul dthis be the oil travelling down the loom?
