Need some help please. The air con cooling fan on my TD5 is constantly running. I've had both temp sensors changed, and even tried swapping the a/c panel, but it still keeps going! Any suggestions please, it's driving me nuts!!!

you need a tester to clear the overheat fault code logged in the ECM, that fan is for overheat protection too not just for aircon...unless the relay is stuck closed(unlikely but possible)

As Sierra says the fan does more than one job. It takes seconds to check the fan relay which on my Defender is under the drivers seat.

Btw I completely removed my air con as it was ****e and restricted leg room. I wired a switch to trigger the air con fan relay which I use when heavy towing in woodland etc. as an auxilliary cooling fan. Probably overkill but as it was there why not?
