hi all

just picked up a mint 3 piece roof lining for my landi TD5 90. hope someone can shed some light. it is an original landrover part. however every picture online i can find shows fixing via the fur trees across the joint between front and rear.
however mine was not fixed like this there are 3 holes in the rear (roof side) in the front section and 1 in the center of the rear section. these DO NOT go through the lining.
i guess these had bonded fur tree type plugs originally,
any idea on part numbers.

thanks

Hi Justin. My 2000 Td5 90 roof lining is fixed with the "fur tree" type pins which go through the lining from the head side into corespondent holes in the roof braces. The rear section fits into a "gutter" which is the junction point between roof and side panels. :D I hope that this might shine some light on your conundrum o_O

thanks Alan. mine is different to what ive seen. i have a 2001 but no idea on the year for the roof. ive just put some pics up of the fixings.

Good morning Justin. The problem with buying for your refurbishment is exactly that. Matching the years of vehicle to components. I'm sure that you will be able to come up with an ingenious way to make the two fit together well. :D Good luck and keep us all up to speed

Just a thought has it been re-covered ? And have the fir trees been put in the holes and the new lining placed over the top hiding the cap ends ?
cheers Ian

hiya
no there are 3 fixing holes only in the rear of the card not through the covering for which almost looks like the door card type of arrangement.
