Better than the 3?

I considered the D3 to the the pinnacle of off road ability and comfort but by heck is it a vulnerable vehicle with those big slab sides and lots of stuff underneath to get hurt in the rough stuff.

Never drove a 3 mate but it was sublime. No character though, it didn't kill me to jump back in the defender. I've spent a week trying to convince myself I need something more refined. I might need it but I don't want it lol
 
Heated seats wiring today, using the ignesis alternator detecting gismo, taking feed from heated windscreen fuse.
I have a heated screen I retro fitted, and must have missed the truck had the fuse powered for it when I fitted it, never mind, its the right fuse rating / cable so all good.
Had the usual wrestle and swearing at the rubber footwell and tunnel cover flooring, FFS that stuff is just like my cat, totally disobedient and wilful, it wapped me in the face twice, which was nice cos the foam underneath was sopping wet.:mad::mad::mad::mad:
Using the Mobile Centre original switches and loom, only had them for a year and just got round to fitting them.
