tried that, no joy............just had battery on charge, fully charged, still get the clicking and dash board disco..........

Something is amiss then as the window going down occurs when you reconnect a battery.
Possibly a relay fault?

If you have a multimeter, try getting someone to try starting (with a fully charged battery), and see how much the voltage drops. Too far, and you battery is donald ducked....

Try disconnecting your battery leads and jumping at the leads without your original battery fitted!
Sometimes if your battery is really buggered it'll stop it jumping too cos it drags that battery down! It may not start this way but it should at least try to without all of the strange symptoms.
If it behaves differently I'd change the battery!!!!

If you've changed the battery and eliminated that and you still get the clicking when trying to start.

It's your starter motor, there's a kit you can buy for £12 to repair it, thats if you have the 'DENSO' starter motor.

There's plenty of posts on the kit on this section.

:D
