Hello everyone,

My 2001 TD4 has split one of the turbo hose's. I have attached (I hope) a picture with the offending hose ringed in red. Can anyone let me know what the part number for this is, or where I can find the part number?

Also is this a dealer only part or is there somebody that does a patten part (hopefully in the south west)?

As a temporary measure can I clean up the existing hose and use the duct tape, so SWMBO can use her car one day next week?

Thanks,

Dave

Welcome darth !

i dunt know if yer can get patterned ones.. but Landrover ones int too expensive under 20 squid if i remember rite

and if you ask em nicely, they might deliver it to yer, dependin on how far away you is ;)

Re using duct tape, when I had the L-hose split (other side of the engine) I tried also to fix it temporarily with duct tape but due to the pressure on it and the oily/greasy air going through the duct tape didn't keep up, in no time it was all back to the whistling stage.

Thanks for the very quick replies.

I think the wife wants to go to town tomorrow, so I'll call in at the dealers and hope that they have the part in stock.

Darft vador. . . .change the other one as well the other end of the metal bit un try and git rid of as much of the oil as possible. . . .on replacement have a good look to see if none of the clips are fouling as this is what normally cuts a hole in them,it only needs a very small hole to upset the turbo balance. . . .un best oh luck earthling. . . .:)

Got the two pipes from the dealer this morning for just over £25. Fitted them this afternoon, and she is back to her usual self.

Thanks for your help.
