Hi everyone, I'm a newbie here and would like to see if anyone has had the same problems as I've got with my 2001 TD4, When travelling at say 30mph in 4th and put the old foot down the engine starts to smoke(black) and is very lazy up until around 2500 rpm when obvoiusly the turbo spools up at this point the smoke disappears and the old girl truly flies. The car cruises on the m/way and will go well over 70 no probs. Have changed airfilter/oil filter valve press breather(on top of engine), MAF and run millers inj cleaner through it. New MAF did help and restored some performance, but it just seems that engine is either being fed too much fuel or not enough air until turbo spools up and forces air in. Any ideas plse as my independant thinks maybe turbo trouble, but has not yet plugged her into computer. Really need to sort this out as it's really annoying and am borrowing father in laws caravan for a weeks fishing later this year and don't think cars got the low down b***s to pull it. Begining to wish I'd kept my Disco 300Tdi
