C craig5056 New Member Jul 22, 2012 #1 hi, i have a td4 on a 2000 plate just had new oil cooler fitted the header tank is clear on day to day running around up to temp but the minute i start towing the trailer or caravan i get an oil like scuze at the top of the tank any ideas?

V Vissie New Member Jul 22, 2012 #2 I would keep emptying the coolant out of the reservoir a few more times before investigating it as a fault. The coolant systems are very very difficult to completely flush once oil contaminated.

C craig5056 New Member Jul 23, 2012 #3 cheers hope this is what your saying and the extra pressure on the engine is blowing the left over oil and crud out of the cooling system.
