Thank you @Nodge68 . I wasn't aware of this. It appeared from Hippos previous posts that this was possible.

As I have to do this for a few cars I'm tempted to buy a device to reprogramme keys (if the Hawkeye Pro can't do this). Are you aware of a devise that could do this?

Thanks again

Found it. I have over 300 video's and most haven't been named after their content.

On my 2001 v6 using an origional Hawkeye and v7 firmware:

Ems \ security \ ccu \ transmitters = option to add or remove remote fobs

Ems \ security \ ews 3d \ key programming = option to add or remove keys

= option to add or remove keys
Looks like this is the option to add or delete a manufacturers key chip.
Does it program the key chip itself or just enable and disable keys already produced.
LR designed it so that if you lost a key, they could send a replacement. The replacement then gets enabled and the lost one gets disabled in case it falls into thiefys sticky mitts.

You have the option to add and remove keys from the list. The term 'program' is used but what yer actually doing is associating said key to the car. So it's more like the car remembering the keys 'identity.

To do this you need one key which already works with the car. This is normal practice as it proves you have control over the car. A theif can't just walk up and program their key to it.

You should be able to move keys between cars with this method.
