Hi
We have been servicing our 2002 Freelander today and wanted to change the glowplugs, 3 came out great and replaced...the last one doesn't want to play and is spinning inside the chamber...car still starts ok..g/plug light on and off on dash..are we ok to leave that one in there...or is there a safe way to remove without removing the head??? Many thanks for any advice
Anne

I sheared one on my mate freelander, its been ok for a couple of months.
leave it be, it should be ok.

Me too. I sheared one of ours but haven't lost compression. You can get them extracted if you really want. There are apparently specialists who do this.

Hi Peeps...all started lovely this morning, had a bit of smoke...but everything has been cleaned up to within an inch of its life, gave the choked up inlet manifold a good clean and running alot better...going to see how it goes over next few weeks...if i start to worry have a friend with a friend who removes them for a living at reasonable cost, so will take it to him :)
