Hello Troops
All good I hope? Have been trying to locate a post(or two) that refer to the 'upgraded' replacement loom for the TD4 fuel pressure sensor (to/from the ECU) regards what has to be done to replace the existing one. Think I remember seeing one with a few photos but cannot for the life of me find it anymore.
Back in the UK on Thursday/Friday and have some work to do on daughters TD4 (replace two injectors) and do this loom thingy. Can't afford to do everything but have more than a few days work fixing TD4 windows etc as well and hopefully MOT prep too.
Are the fuel pressure sensors prone to failure as well or is it more the loom side of things, in anyones experience or knowledge? I have 'fiddled' with those components before and had a brief improvement in running etc but within a couple of days back to the typical TD4 running issues. Everything else has been done so far(the cheaper options etc) and this will be a period of more expensive 'fixes'.
Did a leak back test on the injectors a while ago and although I understand that this is not definitive proof of faulty injector function will be replacing two of them(the worst ones) in the meantime but also the loom.
Any info, loom, or otherwise is most appreciated.
TIA
Malcolm
