Hi

New to this forum seeking advice from fellow Freelander owners. I have a TD4 that takes about 10minutes to put £20 of fuel in. Is there a quick fix as I would prefer not to drop the tank.

Thanks in advance for y

I had a similar problem filling my Freelander with the pump switching off quickly. The solution was to move the nozzle up to make space for air – see this illustration in the owner’s manual.

Never had this problem with my Defender or any other vehicle.

Thanks but the only way I can fill is to have the end of the nozzle about 1inch from the car and squirt it in very slowly.

My Freelander does the same.. Its a safety device in there that stops fuel leaking out if vehicle rolls.. Sometimes it falls down funnel a bit causing a narrowing.. No matter what way I put diesel in it does it slow .. It does no harm and I have learned to live with it.. Nightmare in this cold weather though.. :)
