Hi,

I've had my Freelander TD4 since new, Its a 03 plate with 59,000 on clock. Ive just noticed when I reach 4100 rpm in each gear there is no power? Is there a limiter on each gear stopping me from going into the red zone or do I have a problem?
Anyone help?

yes ther is a small problem

your forgetting to change gear

if you have a hankering to rev it into the red zone (red for a reason...) then get her up to 70, force it into 1st and drop the clutch. It'll rev well over 4100 then.

lol mine has never reached that RPM lol

still only sits at 3200 RPM when going 95

Thats the limit for a diesel freelander I presume. I dont bother trying to get any more that 4k rpms.

yes andy its limited to stop you destroying the engine, most diesels are the same....
