removing the pully bolt is not easy, you will need some tool to lock up the shaft,

what galaxy are you in ?
 
Thought I'd use the jamming a breaker bar between the control arm and flicking the starter motor method?

thats possibly the easiest way to loosen the crank bolt
 
Changed the crankshaft pully today using the above method, and its a fix:D, no more clattering, the old ones rubber had split on the inside......I just hope its on tight enough as could only tighten untill the engine turned over, tried to wedge a spanner in. The castle parts of the pully, which gave me a bit more resistance but not much, still seems ok so far:)
