How did you stop the pulley from turning to achieve the extra 90 on the nut. Mine just kept moving in the engine mounts and rising up and out. So it wouldn't catch.

Use the correct locking tool and wedge it against the floor, or a body component, then tighten the bolt.

As above you need the proper locking tool.

also make sure you have the right bolt some are longer than others as the washer is different, thicker on earlier models.
