Hi guys I gave a 2004 TD4. Just changed brakes all round. Went to open bonnet to bleed brakes and the cable snapped. I saw a few threads saying to undo the bolts at the front of the car. I did one but unable to do the other as it's rounded. Anyone have any suggestions how to get the bonnet open now? Thanks

There is a thread on here how to do it, somewhere im sure ive seen it. It involves hooking the bonnet release through the grill, from the front it is the left side of the catch.

Cant get link for thread, but this is the title.

Bonnet release cable snapped. Any ideas??

That thread says undo the bonnet, the one I was reading was hooking the latch. Do you know if the plastic cover is still in place? Mine isn't but I've not tried opening it that way.

Haven't tried yet as I been working all weekend and been extremely busy as I work for the NHS! Thanks for the research and taking time to reply. Will let you know tomorrow which method works.
