Hi all and I hope you all have recovered from Christmas day but now I have a question for you all and if somebody has a photo that will be even better.
on my freelander 1 td4 my son in law replaced my vacuum pipe for me a while ago and I was not watching him but I knew the tube coming from the vacuum chamber went through a "gate" a three pin affair on the top of the engine some where near to the vacuum reservoir but I can not find it and I have been having a slight problem when I put my foot down I hear a hissing like and I take my foot of the go pedal and it is like hearing something shutting off could it be the turbo which was new not long ago and does this "gate" reduce the vacuum effect on the turbo so it does not open up to quick , I have had the fault reader on as I keep getting the orange/yellow warning light on and it always say map sensor any help please.

well it has been sorted and it had nothing to do with the "gate" it was simple the end of the tube had split and then come of the vacuum chamber . the vacuum side of the engine has a lot more to do with running the engine than a lot think but mine is all fixed again happy days
