playing around with my z24hpeh from a p38..its mated to a boosted 4.6 in a 2 door rrc.
now currently its set to lock up at 46mph and drop out at atmospheric pressure..ie 0 psi, but no vac..
this i think is too low for average town/suberb driving..(50mph limit on way to work) so setting it to lock up at 42mph and drop out at 4psi..(as it hits 0psi just poddling up a slight hill)
now...it would also be nice to lock up clutch on demand when in manual in high range.(currently no tcc lock up in manual).this i can do also,(proper engine braking!!) BUT...i am worried (along with lowering tcc lock up speed and max MAP ) that i will blow the feck outa the tcc solenoid/mechanism..which would upset me a tad..
so..has anyone as of yet blown up their tcc in their p38 4.6..and if so doing what??..i ask as am trying to gauge their reliability..
thanks.
