I am new to landies and have seen one I am interested in buying as a towing/farm vehicle. It has a years MOT and all seems good except for tapping noise suspected to be tappetts. I am told this is a big and fairly expensive job to repair, can anyone out there advise me!!

seems fairly decent for the money, and with a 12 months ticket.
i wouldnt be too worried bout the tappets, but there again i can do it myself. even though the parts might be a fair bit, if i had to buy a cam as well.

dont know how much a garage would charge.
say the cost of the parts and a days labour. could be expensive.

on the other hand, they might just need adjusting? look on the bright side eh?

we know gaylanders do things on their own..like breakdown a lot and unbolting of doors in the wet
