kurgan Active Member Mar 7, 2020 #1 My 98 D1 tailgate won't open. Lock still jumps with central locking. Pulling on the handle does nothing. Inserting the key, it spins freely and doesn't lock or unlock. How do I get the door open so I can replace mechanism. Thanks for any help.

kevstar Well-Known Member Full Member Mar 7, 2020 #2 Take the rear door speakers & door card off then pull the catch inside the door frame tis a bit tight though. Unless you've got woman's hands lol
