Had the car for a few months now and it been great. Last night was cold and the car was frozen over. At luch time today the ice had melted so I jumped in. Shut the drivers door and the rear glass just imploded:doh:.

Not sure what to do now.

Any advice about how/where to get it fixed is welcomed.

Thanks,

Jim

You could wait till your insurance is due, then cover it fully comp and then claim against it, then it would only cost you £50 or £25 depending what you have to pay, but that would be Illegal and sneaky, unlike most insurance companies i know!!

Thanks for all the advice following the suicide of my rear glass screen. I have sourced a rear tailgate now in the right colour. This one is from a slightly later model (or DHSE) and has the high mounted rear brake light.

How can I wire this up to my "standard" wiring? do I need a wiring hareness modification or is it something simple :)blabla:)?

Thanks for any advice

Jim

I'll mention the provider of the rear screen and comment on the service I received, once its all installed.

Thanks for your help. I bought one from a breaker (4x4) in Norwich. Good service and fast delivery.

Now the lower tailgate has refused to open! Is there a way to release it?
