Hi,

sorry if this is a really simple one but I've had a search around and cant find anything suitable. I need to adjust the closure/latch on the tailgate of my Discovery 2 - not the door release/lock - that works fine. When you close the door it doesn't seem to engage properly without a really firm "slam", it seems like the latch needs adjusting to make it come into contact sooner perhaps?

Any suggestions?
Thanks

Sounds as if at least 1 of your hinges are worn.
Usually just a stop gap to adjust the catch.
Can you lift the door up and down and feel any slack?

Hi, yes there is some movement (up/down) , it feels like it drops slightly when shutting the door from fully open. Not sure if it's top or bottom hinge that has the play, will have to look closer this eve.
