Does anyone know what the likely problem is when the button to open the tailgate does not work.
I know how to release it from inside, but any ideas if it's more likely to be the lock or the rods etc.

Seems quite a common fault,had the same trouble on mine, but you can buy the button unit quite cheaply and its a five minute job to replace it, one connector and two screws.
