unable to open rear door with key or handle is this to do with the problem i have with my central locking.

I am having a problem like you are having disconnect the battery and then try .
I did the the door opened but the window will not drop i have a 3 door with a hard top so io could raise the roof to get in.

i have placed some post so have search

had my back window down yesterday, went to put it back up but it was having none of it! 2 hours & lots of washing up liquid later i managed.

i am still having a nightmare with mine seems to do thight it shouldnt.

recalabrating didnt work form me let me know if i can something else

what happens when you try to open it? does the window make an attempt to open? or just the door catch open, or absolutely nothing?

hi bez man

when i try to open the door the door opens window will not drop.But when i use the switch in the car the window opens but the switch works in revirse ie when i press up it goes down and when i press down it goes up.
When i lock the car the horn beep once as if its telling a door or window is open i belive.

if i drop the window from inside the car then open the rear door it comes up about a 1/2 inch when i close the door it drops down again.

i have taken the battery off for ten mins hopeing it will reset but nothing

sounds like yer rear door latch is not workin ,un pooter thinks rear door is still open ,hence the toot. . . .

Sounds like you got the wires wrong way round on the window motor. Cant think why or how that could have happened but thats what it sounds like...

Hi bez man

No wires have been removed i have had the car for 2 years so its not that.
Today i have taken the battery off for 1 hour and now the windows does not work at all .
When i press the switch inside it just bleeps . When i connected the battery the rear window did not drop as it says in the book.

IS there ECU just for the windows i am thinking there might be.

gulp. . . .yer door latch is fooked un pooter finks door is still open ,hence the toot, look at latch furst. . .go into search it has bin documinted [fink thets wot floppy mint] also if its removable roof check the roof switch is not open [as in n/open or n/closed n=normally] stupid earthlings . . . . .

window winder in my back door has just shat itself, had to unplug motor toget the window back up and now it always toots when I lock it, must think the window is down.

Mine now i can use the switch inside the car but when the window is down the heated rear window swich will now light up so my rear window is total confused.

I just dont know what to do as the windows does go up and down if i use the switch inside the car but will not drop when i use the handal.
