Does anyone know how to transfer mm 5 maps to an android device - as mm5 doesn't see the device.
Also - just tried view ranger and that seems V good. Anyone else got it?

I simply copied the qct files to the Android memory (micro sd card) and MMTracker 'sees' them after telling it where to look, you don't need to use MM itself. The same with tracks and routes. Once you set the directories to suit the Navigation program mine just sees them, dead easy! Way easier than the old style PDA's where everything had to be transferred via MM.
I don't bother with Bluetooth connection. Using just a Satnav or the MMtracker app my Hudl charges properly. If I run it with the MP3 player and Sat Nav/MMT then it stays at whatever charge it had, without losing charge, but also without charging!

I've got mm on a galaxy ace and need to transfer the info onto a S4......I'm clueless 
OK, on a 'normal' computer with Memory Map, the actual map files are kept in a folder and named something like MMOS25000279.qct These map files can be transferred by connecting the tablet to the computer and simply copying and pasting to the tablet sd card or a pre-selected directory that suits the navigation app you use. It's very similar to copying files from one folder to another .. indeed it _is_ copying files from one folder to another!
Tracks, routes, and data (mmo, qed, etc files) can also be tranferred like this, but some Android apps don't see them properly or might apply different pictures to represent waypoints or tracks on the display.

I'll give it a go when I'm home. It'll be android to android via a puter thats running umbutu. When I've wiped everything and can no longer log on here I'll give you a bell on a borrowed phone
LOL, I ain't run ubuntu or any other flavour OS than Windows for a few years now, other than trying them for a few weeks .. none of them work well with Memory Map and a couple of other 'older' programs I use.
It really should be as easy as copying files across .. other than you need to install MM or the Navigation program or app onto the S4 first.
Incidentally, I don't use the 'real' Memory Map on Android, I have loads of old maps that won't run on the latest app due to the new licenses, so stick with the maps and whatever other app I like ..
