Hi all I'm wondering does the 2.0 diesel made in 1999 t plate have any issues I should look out for when buying?

Also is this a turbo version? Any help is appreciated

Chris

it has a turbo, make sure the belts are done, it may leak oil around the oil filter, its the best freelander engine.

when you go to look make sure the ABS,TC,HDC light works as they should could get expensive to fix if your not able to do the work yourself

Look underneath the car and make sure the propshaft and VCU are present if not could be trying to hide a fault

go for a drive put it in reverse and full lock and go round in circles if ir feels like the brakes are catching then it could be a faulty VCU which is a couple of hundred £

engine wise its the better engine of them all in my eyes they can grow a leak round the oil filter as stated above (noticed mine has one today) and check when the belts were last change if they have no prove of when last done you should think they haven't done them and its something i would do straight away for piece of mind as a belt slipping/snapping can involve major engine work.

Ok thanks they already told me its two wheel drive as the VCR seized this is ok as I have my old prop to use and its been reconditioned

The only thing I noticed out of place is the break pedal felt very high and not inline with the other pedals any ideas on this?
