Can Anyone tell me if they have fitted a Synergy 2 to a freelander Td4 and if it has put the cost of Insurance up ?
At present I am with Aviva and pay enough insurance as it is. Thanx in advance. I.J.
Rover Ron sells a Sunergy 2E which gives more torque and no BHP increase for this very purpose
...also is it worth telling the insurance companies, couldn’t you deny any of it saying it must have always been there?
Not reporting a mod like this to insurance companies will only cause them to refuse a claim if they found it. I don't think telling them you didn't know would work. They're decision would probably go against you. Often they do inspections on cars prior to repairing them. If found it would invalidate your insurance, your claim, and on future insurance requests, when asked if you've ever been refused insurance, you'd be saying yes. Not worth the cost.

hi
im with the AA and advised them of the mods together with the web links and they advised me there would be no extra charge.
i did go into it and ask them why there wouldnt be any extra on my premium they advised me its MPG tuning aids and as i was over 40 im not in the boy racer age.
to say the least i was very suprised considering other ins are charging extra, i also put it in writing as i want to make sure
it costs my wife and i £450 fully comp with a £450 excess on any claim i make to damage to my car, £75 windscreen excess.
also is it worth telling the insurance companies, couldnt you deny any of it saying it must have always been there?
