Gary - I'm sure Ron will reply to you in time, but here's my take on it.

I may have got the exact month wrong but the 3-way switch gizmo settings depend on when the Synergy box itself was made (not the switch).

Up to October 2011 green was for 'Go' and the red was the 'economy' setting.
After Oct 11 it was the other way round and red became the power setting.

It sounds to me that you need to check your Bosch MAF.

Here's what I would do -
Switch off the Synergy completely.
Unplug the MAF and see if the engine is more responsive.
If it is, then the MAF is out of spec, and a Pierburg would be the solution.

If it is no better with the MAF unplugged then your problem would be elsewhere.

Hope that helps.

hiya thks for that, convinced i got mine in 2010, oops i thought green was the economy setting and the green was whatever i set on the synergy box,

will do that as well for the maf, thks

but going to later get my synergy upgraded and buy a pierburg maf ,

thks again

Aslo I can't for the love of god find a suitable spot to thread my dash switch jack plug through to the engine bay!

hiya

i personally took mine through the middle of the bulkhead, if u take the insulation back u will see a large grommet in the middle, there are also grommets on both sides, get a metal coat hanger, but if i may say make sure the end doesnt go near the battery terminals whilst trying to feed it through,i nearly caught the terminal, lolol

u can also take it through the bulk head , ut have to take out the fuse box on the passenger side, will see existing wires going through, but fornme just found the middle grommet the easiest,

ref mine i heard from ron, but mine is on the old setting, he did indeed confirm, red was eco, green , go and the middle setting was for the best mpg, going to get my box updated and buy the switch where i can use a oem push switch

hope that helps u feed the wire, and u will really tell the difference,

mine is set on 2 , with maf compensator off, as it smoked a litle bit and the auto changed gear smoother and am running the bosch sensor,

If yours is an auto as I seem to remember there is a rubber blanking plug on the engine´side bulkhead roughly below the brake-fluid tank / servo unit which is for the clutch pedal.

Take out the plug and poke a screwdriver through - it comes out behind the carpet in the footwell.

From there it's easy to reach the RH side of the central console where I stuck mine on with number-plate double sided sticky tape.
