Rebuilding the gearbox on my series 2a.
The synchronising clutch, I didn't take much notice when I took it out but the teeth on either side are different
on one side they look quite worn, and on the other side thicker and looking better??
Does it matter which way it goes back, any idea's.
I will try to add a picture, this might go ttts up?

it will only fit one way ,if you look at the splines either side youll see one side has a recess that goes to 3rd gear side it allows for the snap ring retaining 3rd,the teeth are thinner by design if you rotate it there should be 4 thicker teeth

jamesmartin, Thank you very much, I wouldn't have been able to carry on with the rebuild until I knew which way it fitted, Thank you sir.
