What is the easiest way to replace the swivel seals?

Thought of unboltong swivel from axle and withdrawing complete hub with halfshaft and fitting new seal over halfshaft.

Can it be done this way? or do I have to strip the hub down?

thats the way to do it, buy a new 12 sided spanner as the axle bolts can be a t**t to undo - ensures a tight fit

somewhere ive seen it sugested that you undo the seal retaining ring remove the old seal by cutting it... then cut the new seal and install it with the cut at the top sealed with silicon.sealant..(or superglued). the spring in the seal has its ends hooked back together and reinstalled in the seal after its in place...

or drain the oil and use one shot grease which dont leak as easily
