I ordered a swivel kit for my 300tdi ABS discovery. after fitting the kit i looked at others and they contain thrust washer(s) part no. FTC 2065 . Mine didnt so im looking at getting some.

do they sit beneath the top pin ? so will i be able to put them in without re doing the entire thing?

how many do i need per side?

thanks.

If it's shims you are missing yes you need them and the thickness you need is decided by the book figure for force to turn the swivel when the correct amount of shims is fitted.

Not fitting any shims will probably result in stiff steering and having to buy another set of swivel bearings.

Shims fit under the top swivel which is a plain bearing on abs models, bottom bearing is a taper roller.
