noticed today had a small puddle off oil under the swivle housing been told its the seal /gasket..isthis a easy job t do an how long roughlyshould it take?
an is it stil safe to drive to keep the wife happy..lol

oh yea its a k plate 200tdi

i take it you have some tools.there is a square holed bung ya socket wrench fits in hear the top.There is two use the highest one to fill and fill till it oozes out.
Gear oil.ep 90 i use.
 
When I had my RR with a leak I pumped a few shots of LM grease into the swivel, it stopped the leak.
 
You can also empty it and replace it with the one shot grease, it has a higher viscosity and is less likly to leak.
 
If you don't fancy doing the seals yet, paddocks do the grease, it's less than a tenner for both sides. Just drain the old oil and replace with the grease.
 
If it just a small leak, drain the swivel out and fill it with one shot. End of trouble. I done this on my S3. Although it's undergoing a major refit and tidy up. I have it done and nothing on the garage floor now..........:clap2:
