Hi

I'm feeling creative today and want to make my old switch panel into a switch box, I have at least 4 switches at the moment, recovery ligthts, work lights, spot light bar and may add more, has any one made a home made box with a positive input and negative out put to power 4 switches? So instead of running a load of wires to and from battery there's only 2 wires and rest are connected to auxilliarys? Also wanting to change location of my switches to different place, any one got pictures of their switch boxes/switch places? Basically wanting to tidy up the hoard of wires going across the dash and make it abit tidier etc?

Cheers
James

Not really homemade but it's a 6 gang switch mount from mudstuff. Fitted where my leccy sunroof switches used to be. (now sealed up)

Got a switch for roof lights, front spots, work lights on rear, and electric fan.
The 2 blanks will be for air locking diffs hopefully sometime soon.

Then will need to add more switches so gonna need to look for another location but will do for now.

Looks good there, my sun roofs work and don't leak [emoji33] I have my cb mic up there also, have you routed you wires up behind the headliner?

It's only a matter of time before they do leak! :p

All wires are routed behind headlining then behind the A pillar trim and behind the dash.

Use a single feed for switch lights and a single earth wire. The rest of the wires makes a substantial clump but not unmanageable. All relays are fitted in either the engine bay or behind the dash.

Yeah, was my aim to hide them away, using a single feed and single earth so there's not many wires on battery. I'm thinking I'm going to need fairly hefty gauge wire? All my lights are led apart from beacon, but that's going to be changed to led soon.
