Hi. Does anybody know where to star looking for the issue that causes water to fill the spare wheel well?
It seems to be coming in from the offside somewhere as it is wet where the wheel chocks are stored.

I have my suspicions of upper tailgate, particularly the part beneath the spoiler.

Others have mentioned capiliary action on upper hinges, some have mentioned bumper mounts.

Spoiler is easy to remove, 3 10mm bolts and slide backwards for a peek.

I have a faint memory of @holidaychicken having split sealant on one of his roof seams,
I may just be imagining it though?

Many thanks. I have noticed if left for some time and the tailgate is opened water pours down the rear of the pillars. I'll have a look at the tailgate and bumper.

Hi Nigly,
As stated there are many potential leak paths. I'm on my second L322 and both have water in the boot issues. Both are most obvious after a power wash but also being left stood in heavy rain. The most credible suggestion to me are the seals on the bumper mounting plates. My current car does have different seals each side. The left appears to be poorly fitted and that is the side where the water trail is. My intention is to take the bumper off as soon as the outside temperature gets warmer as I have no garage. Personally, I believe each car has a different leak path as carefully designed by LR to keep us all scratching our heads for years to come. Good luck and please let us know what you find. I'll do the same but in the meantime the only sensible action is to keep moping out to reduce the risk of condensation cocking up the EAS pump and everything else electrical in the boot.
Tricky.

I may also remember an issue with the grommet/seal for the towbar wiring allowing water in..

Good point. I had noticed it but has not been used or disturbed as far as I can see. I'll be sure to inspect closer once the bumper is off, Cheers.
Tricky.

Do you have a tow bar ?
There are a couple of large threads quite recently regarding water leak into the boot, have a search for @anorakmark posts as he now has a rear end on his range that is more water tight than a ducks A hole.
Dry everything thoroughly and dust some talc around to find where the water starts from.
Mine was leaking from by the wheel chocks and was the rear bumper / tow bar mount where the tow bar iron wraps over the top of the rear of the body. I tested the theory with a finger full of grease and then sealed but search the threads it is all in there . I have a thread somewhere as well if you search
