Hi, I have recently acquired my second ever land rover, a freelander, and very nice it is too! It's a bit long in the tooth like me, but a lovely ride.....the only real problem I have (already fixed radio aerial and boot door catch and am eating for the rain to stop to fix the sunroof) is the tool space in my boot keeps filling with water and I can't find where it's coming from. Have replaced door seal and lifted the plastic trim that the door rests on and filled that space with sealant, but nothing has worked so far. Can anybody help me here?

Hi and welcome to the forum.
Your "problem" highlights a special feature of the Freelander. Trout fishermen can store their catch in the locker in order that their nearest and dearest can enjoy fresh fish on their arrival home. Non-fishermen may prefer to keep guppies in it for their amusement.
Seriously, this problem seems to have a number of causes: I found that refraining from jetwashing the tailgate and bumper did the trick. Others will suggest other solutions, I'm sure. Good luck with your Freelander: before you do anything else, do the One Wheel Up test as detailed in these forums. Its vital to the longevity of your transmission.

Personally I must admit to a preference for Siamese fighting fish....that and a hermit crab perhaps? An interesting feature that I feel should have been made more of in the advertising. Thanks for explaining it to me
