 Just bought a mint 83 rangie with 205s and perfect rims. I want to put those in the shed and install some bigger wheels and tyres for 80% road 20% rough (but not very) Will need a bit of extra ground clearance to climb the rocky tracks up here in Wales. What should I do? SO many adds for lift kits and huge wheels etc. I know big lifts affect handling etc. I would love some advice. How would a 1" lift be and what tyre size to go for to give her some more ability on the rough but stay nice on the road? Do I need to go to 2" then do I have to have radius arms as well. How much should I pay to get it fitted? Some advice would be very welcome .
Thanks:confused:

I'd go for a 1" lift (with matching gas dampers) and fit some 235/70 x 16 AT tyres (my preference being the Pirelli Scorpion) on some steel wheels.

I think the DeCarbon spring and damper sets sold by Scorpion racing look the smartest/best quality and would probably be the best compromise for what you're after.

Hope this helps out.
