Lol not a chance. The previous owner who I've known for many years isn't into pimping up rr's. He's in his late 60's. Used it mostly to transport coy carp.

Any ideas how that might have happened? How do you get it readjusted or checked?

Thanks 2.0_hippo

Haha oh right
Well was only a guess ! Lol

Yes you need it checked and probably re-calibrated.

Either by a independent garage or you can do it yourself with your own diagnostics.

I would opt for the DIY method as the tool is only about £230 and it will pay for itself within a couple of uses.

And anyone with a range rover should have one !
A must have tool IMO.

The best diagnostics in my opinion for the lower budget is a thing called "rsw all comms"

Have a search on google for it.

It does a lot of basic fault code reading and resets but most importantly it re-calibrates your air suspension! Unlike other units for the same price.

Hope this helps !
Good luck !

Thanks for the advice. How much do you think it might set me back to get someone to recalibrate it? My mechanic doesnt have the tools and ive spent the best part of £250 already for the testing? Im not great with pc's and technical stuff so purchasing the All comms probably isn't an option.

In your opinion (As I'm new to this) would it be an idea if I placed a new message in the forum asking if any members local to me have the neccessary tools to recalibrate it or do I go land rover?

Thanks

No worries fella, if you dont feel you can do it your self im sure there will be some kind gent on here who may be close enough to lend you a hand for a few beer tokens ! ;)

post your rough location on here in case anyone is close.

if no luck on here then im sure there will be a land rover specialist in your area or a proper dealer who will be able to do the job.

no sure on costs but i think dealers charge about £100+ for recalibrating the EAS.

good luck !

could also be that a previous calibration has gone wrong causing the levels to be out ?
do you know if any previous work had been carried out on it before you purchased it ?

If anyone has the right tools and wants to help me out I'm based near Caterham. Happy to make the trip and sort you out with something.

Thanks 2.0_hippo.

The original front air bag on the offside was leaking so it was changed but that was about a year ago. I'll be sure to check with old owner but little has been done as he used very little.

well im about an hour away from you tops so if no one else closer can help you out i should be able to help you out if you need it.

I am Surrey based near Guildford, so not a billion miles from Caterham , problem is I am tied up over the weekend, so could either come your way (or meet halfway - Dorking sort of area is fairly middle) on Monday afternoon between 1pm - 5pm (aslong as I am back for my Tesco delivery at 6pm...!!) or Tuesday afternoon....

The recalibration is what is called a destructive process - it deletes the calibration heights in the ECU, then resets then using a datum height that the EAS system will put the car into, you measure all 4 corners and input this into the ECU, the ECU then works out the correct ride heights based on this measurement and recalibrates itself.

BUT - your EAS must be in perfect working order for the calibration to work as there are height adjustments involved, and once you press the start button, you must finish the calibration or else the set heights will be messed up - aslong as you are fully aware of this and you can confirm the EAS is working correctly we is all good....

Watch this video from the legend that is Storey Wilson.....

A big thank you to Saint.V8, a wealth of knowledge about the l322 you did me a huge favor this evening. I'm sold on All comms and will definitely be purchasing one very soon. A great tool. A true gent! Thank you so much.

It was no problem at all, and a pleasure to meet with you.

Sorry, I was unshaven, messy haired and wearing baggy jogging bottoms and T-shirt....when I meet people I really should try and make a better effort!!!

Stick around on LandyZone it is a great place filled with even greater people - at times there can be a bit of **** taking and ribbing - but the information you will learn and gain is second to none....

Again, many thanks for your hospitality.
