Hi folks
Disco td5 looked low at rear . She doesn't get used much and battery died so purchased a shiny new one. Only really noticed this while driving last night headlights on pointing to high .
Checked with nanocom today ride height showed 100 and 103 assuming this is mm.
Does anyone know what it should actually read ? I lifted it to 120 and it is better
Thanks guys

Hi, As I understand it those reading with the nanocom do not relate to an actual measurement in mm's etc. The first and usual suspect is the air bags. Try giving them a spray with soapy water to look for leaks, but bear in mind they can re-seal themselves. The usual place is where they fold over.

Hi

The dimensions for the correct height are measured from ctr of wheel to the wheelarch, the figures are in the rave manual. Or if you do a quick search they will be on here in another post or 10.

Iirc the figures in nanocom I saw on mine were about 140 ish, but it has been a few years since I last looked at one. Again you may find the answer with a quick search. They are not a measurement in mm.

Cheers

On mine I measured from the centre of the hub to top of the wheel arch.its 48cm,the figures in Nanocom are wildly different, I just kept adjusting until both were the same by direct measuring with a 1 metre ruler. I found the Nanocom numbers made DIsco uneven if I put in two figures the same...just did not work.

Iirc , I normally found a max 3 error between them on what I saw on my old D2 on the nanocom readings. Here are the reading s I read before.

Hi, it's not mm ... it's decribed in nanocom user guide:
" ....sensor value: This shows the current height value of the rear air suspension
height sensor. A value of 1 is equal to approximately 1.4 mm between the wheel arch
and ground"

Though you must calibrate them as the vehicle to be even all around regardless of those readings

Then I will cut a piece of wood to 47cm and measure at the weekend when I do my airbag wiring and CD replacement
