Happy Easter all,
Sorry I've been quiet but work has got in the way again. Since the below has happened it's been parked up. It will be a museum fuel tank soon as the fuel was £1.02 a litre when it was filled up
It started on a drive back from Warwick a few weeks ago, around 120 mile drive. Having had wheel bearings fail before I suspected it was that so trundled up the motorway's at 40mph nursing it in the inside lane all the way home. It was a Friday so it was fingers crossed the whole way.
Symptoms:
From cold the P38 is fine. Once the oil/engine warms up (around 30 - 45 minutes) I get a vibration that gets worse when I accelerate or drive up a hill. It seems ok up until about 50mph then gets a lot worse after that.
Turning left or right doesn't change the noises and as said, it only starts once warm - around 30 - 45 minutes or so. So my instinct is it's drive train related.
It will be back on the road once fixed and running back on the SVO witches brew again
Thanks in advance, and I hope you've all had a happy Easter
