Bin to Tesco today. 3 of em. All of em had sold out of ALL of their 3L 74ppl cooking oil. When asked..."We'll be stocking up tonight"

ARSE!

AND...they've now stopped the 5p per litre off fuel if you spend over £50 on groceries.

Won't be going to Tesco then!!

The cherry is looking more and more attractive. M..U..S..T R..E..S..I..S..T :(

Was out and about anyway...more a case of seeing if ANY of the Tesco's actually stock more than 1 or 2 3L bottles. I've not seen ANY Pura oil in ANY Tesco in the last 3 weeks of looking.

just a thought anyway that is how i obtain my oil. my advantage is i get a staff discount of 10% off it as well but if i go to the filling station i dont get 10% off.........................

thas a quid a litre! - cheeper at Tesco.
(showed £19.99 when I looked).
Tesco is £2.21 fer 3L

I think it's another case of working out where you are based on your IP address then pricing the thing and availability accordingly, like we was talking about Tesco doing the other day - that;s why we can't get Pura down here when they can everywhere else, there's obviously a large market for it as something other than a food product which for some reason they don't like!

As I understand tax rules at the present time im alowed to use 2500 liters of either new or used [filterd] svo or biodeisel [if probuced by me ] per year with no tax liability only if I sel biodeisel dose it become taxable. I have been using svo in my 200tdi with absolutely no ill efects. In fact the old girl is less noisy and smoother to drive with no loss of power or mpg .I have made no changes to the fuel sytem and only add diesel in the winter monts at a rate of 30 % to aid starting. I think its great and it also has the added bonus of the old mot emisions test dosnt aply they arnt equiped for it so thry dont test it . The only draw back ive found is folks ask me if im selling doughnuts .

If regs have changed please let me know but my souerce is a customs oficer . but not everyones perfect .

I've got a booker card yeh heh

I hate you, I hate you, I hate you!! :p

Just rang KTC to enquire how much for a bulk order of their Rapeseed oil. In an IBC, (1000L), delivered with no VAT as it's not applicable...to you Sir...a mere £920!!!

Ermmm...92ppl if bought in BULK!!??
Yep, but that doesn't include the charge for the tank.

FFS!!!!

Bought 30 1L bottles of Pura from Tesco Launceston this morning - 56p each.
Thought I'd leave 2 on the shelf for others.....

They limit you to 10 per person, so I went round 3 times!

I'll be goin there Friday afternoon so i hope they re-stock!! I just empty the shelf whenever i go and usually go through with at least 20 no probs, but always get a rude or sarcastic comment from the checkout person who obviously doesn't see the amusing side! (It was the 10 or less checkout - i said one item 20 times took up less time for them than 10 different items - she sulkily said "whatever, it's still 20 items"!)

Been into Tesco this afternoon. All the 3L containers of oil are £2.98. There are 1L containers at 89p. Smacks of them bunging up the price because they know why people have been buying the larger containers.

Still....it's the first time I've seen entire shelves full of 3L bottles of oil. :(
