If you don't mind me asking what supercharger is it and how much did you get it for ?

I was looking at a Jag Eaton supercharger but didn't know if it would fit on easily

FFS if I cannot get the photo's in, no chance in fitting charger!!!!!!!!

Its a sprintex, I looked pretty carefully at Eatons, paxtons and rotrex.

Was going with Rotrex, but this came up from a mate who had it lying around. its new....

...I will not tell you how much, it will make you cry, however a good eaton (M112) will be £500(ish). I didn't go with it due to inlet and outlet headaches....

Sprintex seemed a little more easy to work with... If I can get her in.... Oh Rotrex even easier, but well over a grand...

Right click your photo, press copy image address and then click the little button with the mountains on it in the post toolbar……simples ;)

Well I was going to take one from a Jag that was being broken, the guy wanted £250 for it and it came from the 4.0L XJS I think.

Wouldn't mind a Roush if I can find a cheap one :p if it's going to be a hassle I might leave it and attempt to fit twin 4 chambers

If its EFI is easier, but think about getting air in and out whats the manifold going to look like. Also where are you going to mount it, especially with efi...

...Typically they are mounted under carb, but that opens up the whole running "wet" debate, m112 are pretty notorious with petrol and air mix killing bearings....

Other thing to bear in mind is how are you going to stop air flow through charger when throttle is closed....?

I have a mate with a wet running M112, he spent a small fortune machining end plates to accept pukka seals. Its in a ford pop, but looks awesome poking through bonnet!

I'm going to convert weber 500 to "blow through" (change pump, adding shaft seals, and changing floats, adding bonnet). All mods are relativly easy see:

THINKING ABOUT GOING BLOW-THRU........READ THIS BEFORE POSTING

Eitherway, I'm no expert, but seems like a decent project to get stuck into......

Mmmmm might be easier to replace my V8 with a chevy small block then as they'll be easier to mount a charger to

I'll be looking into this more after the MOT

I think this is the right look.

I have often thought of this myself - built many a v8 but not an expert with carbs - do you know of any companies who can convert the weber / edelbrock to 'blow through' at all?? If so these conversions should be relatively straight forward??? Once my project is up and running and road legal (eventually!) This is my first port of call! Wat would happen if you 'blew through' a weber without mods to the carb???

Blow through is biggest headache.... Figured I'd be going for a target for 5 PSI boost.... At this pressure, should be ok not to replace floats,

Will replace pump jet, and change fuel pump for a higher pressure than Facet Gold Top.

Not sure about sealing spindles, will suck it and see...

I will fabricate the bonnet for the carb, so MINIMUM mods.....

the pulley seems easiest part, going for a disco pulley seems to be the same as chargers pulley, add a belt tensioner from a TVR....

Will need to machine a mounting plate, but still haven't worked out what mounting at rear of charger will like....

...Just kind of going with it, seeing how the cards fall...

Suck through sounds better, easier to set up your carb and you can always get more boost than your engine can cope with, sprintex are good, but you need to be careful that you don't dial in too much boost. Good luck, I love superchargers!:)
