Hi all it's been a while but friend of mine has a1999 td5 discovery which the battery is completely flat. Problem is the car has been superlocked (2nd stage) on key fob. Any ideas how I can charge ie can't get into car to open bonnet etc.

Get a jumper pack or long jumper cables from a fully charged battery,
attach positive clamp to positive connection on starter,
neg clamp to a good earth point (chassis),
try and use key fob or key to open drivers door. Alarm might sound.
Or use EKA code to open door if alarm is armed.

With the battery charger + lead clamped to the + feed at the starter, and - lead clamped to the chassis will charge the battery.

+1 to the above.
(The key that came with one of my discos won't even unlock the door, so it is fob or nothing.:()

Best to stop it superlocking with a nano or H.eye, because it can be hard to get in if its stuck and superlocked.
