hi all
last night, i accidentally pressed the sunroof button, instead of the drivers window button, it made a loud click. this morning i have noticed that the drivers side rear corner off the sunroof is down .
if i press to open the sunroof, it slides back and forth properly, except when it gets back to close, it does not lift up.
when i press the tilt, the left side lifts, the right side stays down.
i have managed to get the 2 internal side covers off, undone the 4 torx screws, and the 2 c clips, and removed the sunroof, but cannot see what has gone wrong, any help, please?

Have you tried giving it a helpful nudge up in the droopy corner while pressing the button? Could be the trim jammed or the cable in that side stuck. If its broken thats a different ballgame. The loud click sounds ominous...

with the glass out, press the tilt button, something pushes the bracket up, on the left hand side, but i cannot see anything, even trying to push up the right hand side bracket?

Sounds horribly like the cable or what it attaches to then. Maybe even a lift bracket lug snapped off. Further dismantling needed unfortunately. I take it you don't open the roof much or at least since before the winter.

i have only opened it 8 times in the 8 years ive had the car, just to lubricate it yearly.
i;m bald, and once before, driving my fathers rangie, i had sun stroke, hence no use

Re-assemble it, push it closed, haul the fuse out and hope the AC works come the better weather. That's the cheapest fix. Otherwise you are fixing a decoration. Just goes to show the annual lube didn't really work.

cant take the fuse out, in handbook , it says that it is for parts of the alarm/ gearbox inhibit aswell as sunroof

So it does, typical. Try a bit tape over the switch.

Although personally I would probably fix it (breakers) because you never know when it could just open itself one wet night....

at present, i have fitted the sunroof back in, and have disconnected the motor, under the interior light, the only drawback , is that every time you switch the ignition on or off you get " sunroof not set" and a beep

We have a driver's window like that on one of them. You get used to it but I must do the window regulator this year................

took the whole sunroof apart today, found out that a piece of plastic has broken, the bit where the cable clips into, looked on rave, it looks like you have to get the whole r/h guide assembly, item 21. i bet that is expensive or not available,
anybody know the part no and/ or price?

There have to be a few in breakers yards.....I think J the Range has a few breakers connections, in his quest for a new used engine, perhaps PM him? I was looking for some bits for my P38 a few months ago and RPi in Norwich have quite a few P38s that are being used as donors / they are breaking as they sell parts on ebay as well - may be worth a try, give them a call.

They are a good supplier. I'll have an order away next week for a few things. They also sell off their website and some of the prices are cheaper than their ebay listings and with postage included! Check both......

they replied very quickly, thanks, but unfortunately, it is a genuine land rover dealer only part.
complete guide assembly r/h (drivers side) part no EHD 100140 @ £81.07

fitted, no more bleeps. yeeha

anybody know, exactly what they mean, 0 to -0.5mm front, 0 to +0.5mm back.
do they mean the rubber, or the glass?
i set mine to the rubber, and have now got slight wind noise, how do you set it to the glass, if thats what they mean?

does it push up flta with the roof, mine doesnt so i think it may be a similar issue, it works and doesnt leak tho
