Afternoon all,

Just a quick random question. Does anyone know what the internal diameter of the front sunroof drain tubes are? And how long they should be?

It seem that mine have been cut short in the A pillar for some reason, they only go a quarter of the way down the A pillar? Therefore filling the entire A pillar with running water????

Im going to have my sunroof out this week to re-seal it and fix the drain boxes, and now refit some new drain tubes. Just want to get some pipe bought before i start the job.

Thanks for anyones help.

Have a look at the rear tubes for your size, they can be seen exiting in the area behind the rear mud flap/valance.

On both the D1 and 2 front sunroof drain tubes end within the A pillar thats why the is a hole at the base of the pillar,

If you have water in any the drain tubes... then either u have opened the glass with water on it and it's run off into the drain channel or you have a faulty sunroof seal which in this case you have said you have. :(

also they can block up with leaves & such at this time of
year,i used a thin piece of picture hanging cable to poke
out the crap lodged in them.

Should use an airline ... poking them can break the fitment ...

U have a problem then, unless u leave the sunroof open, the drain inlet is on the inside of the glass seal.

yes open the sunroof, there are two drain holes near
the glass seal rubber at the front, these were blocked
up with crud,i poked them out,the two drainage tubes
are inside the front windscreen pillars,as stated by
another member the drain tubes go about halfway
down the windscreen pillars, anyroad it worked &
thats what counts(keep the water out).
