Is there such a thing as a sunroof blanking plate?
I know some peeps have blanked off the aperture. Is there anything commercially available? Or is there a demand?

I would have thought demand would be low but if the price is right and peeps are suffering wet carpets too often they might be tempted, neither google search or duckduckgo revealed any commercially available parts apart from the usual sheet of steel in an over sized panel that is either welded or pop riveted in place but it still leaves you with the interior to deal with.

what are you thinking?

GRP pop in panel that could be bonded and sealed in the aperture with a second panel beneath in the headlining that would be cloth covered to fill the void?

Would you board your house up if your windows leaked?
apparently so ;)

Without getting "sarky", as I see it if you're going to go to the trouble of removing a sunroof and replacing it with a sheet of steel/aluminium/fibreglass/wood or whatever and then go to all the trouble of sealing the new panel in the aperture, you might just as well remove the sunroof, clean everything up and then put it back sealing it into the hole in the first place.
